Vanier Community Church

A Journey Together

City Church was born in 1991 out of desire to have an evangelical faith church located near the downtown core. In 2001 (??) the church purchased the building at 155 Carillon in Vanier and …

Bikers Church was formed in 2002 by Pastor Rob Dale as a church to minister to bikers – a first in North America.

After a long search for a permanent home to accomodate its growing congregation, in the summer of 2010, Bikers Church started meeting at the City Church building. They built the cafe area as a casual meeting place for people to get to know one another before, during and after service.

Then something interesting happened, some City folk began attending Bikers Church on Thursdays and vise-versa on Sundays. Despite appearances, they soon found that they weren’t that different and the lines between City and Bikers began to blur. We shared the same Men’s breakfast and the ladies held several seminars together.

To make a long story short, on January 1, 2012 City Church and Capital City Bikers Church amalgamated to form Vanier Community Church.
